Role: UX Designer
Team: 3 people, Full time
Span: 5 weeks
"We need help in making our MVP more intuitive, less engineer, easy to relate and visually appealing."
During this project i acted as UX researcher and Designer. Over this project we used a Human Centered Design approach to solve the brief.
Step.1 - Build Foundation
User Journey , External & Internal Consistency Check, Interviews, User Testing, and Color Mapping
Step.2 - See what is needed
Instead of just beautifying the platform we decided to create a Design Manual for EdQu, and create implementation examples for future reference and review.
A Design Manual will provide guidelines to build a design foundation
Another very important part of a Web Application focused on students and teachers, is the typeface. We decided to use Fira Sans, because of its high readability on even small screen sizes.
The full version of the Manual can be found here.
A new, Fluid Grid was also used to accommodate any possible device usage, and create a more intuitive structure.
The light grey tint on the background solves the problem of students tilting the screen in weird angles. Thanks to the light grey we maintain enough contrast to easily separate elements visually. Go ahead tilt it out!
